cams

anyone know where i can get cams put in or does anyone know how to put in cams and is willing to help. im located in Ct thanks.

I do not think that it would be terribly difficult to change the cams, seeing that they are easily accessible. But you might have more of a tuning problem once you complete this task. What kind are you planning on putting in? I bet you are looking at some nice $$$$$$ figures.

have you ever disassembled the VG head? cause thats what you have to do to put cams in. I've removed my stockers, but re-installing those fockers is a whole nother ball game at least for me!

as far as price...SOHC VG cams are a dime a dozen and won't run you over $450-500.

i ordered jim wolf stage 2 cams and i no i desided to stay with my max and i just need to find a place to put emm in b/c i dont have some of the tools to do the job. so i decided to get it done at a shop, anyone know a shop to get emm done at in Ct? or has anyone ever done it and want to help me i could give you some $$$ for helping me out. thanks alot

hmmmm, Skymax had some problems with the Stage IIs when he put them in a few years ago...good luck

dude, if you can remove the heads (to get to the cams) you can install them. Its easy as pie.

I started my first engine tear down this spring. I rebuilt my VG (mostly stock components) with no experience. The car purrrrrssss like it was new.

yup...they're pretty much made for boosted VG's...Stage I's should be plenty
