VE vs VG

How bad would a VE 5speed 92-94 beat my 91 5speed? I know it has 30 more horsepower and junk, is it significantly different?

Well.......

I'll probably get flamed for answering this and a big war between the VGs and VEs will restart, BUT I'd say VE by .5-1 full seconds in a quater mile race! maybe a car length or two , just a quick guess...... go ahead guys start flaming

No flame here

Kinda depend on launch technique between the two, but once in the higher rev band VE will start pulling away. Cant really beat that extra 30hp even with all the usuall intake/exhaust mods.

There is pleanty of sites and information on this page alone that woudl help answer your question, you shoudl also do a search and learn a little bit about the topic before you ask.

I'd say a 5sp vg would beat it. The VE auto's only seem to be a little bit quicker than the VG auto. A local guy near me in ontario recntly ran a 16.8 in his VE auto. AND its pretty hard to mess up with the auto. All that can be done is some powerbraking.

Attitude?

sounds like a little attitude from MAXSE91....got the same "you should search......" answer myself once. I would suggest that you realize there are people here that are new to this, and you should maybe, just maybe give an answer instead of being a smart-a$$. The site was obviously provided for all of us to help each other with questions that come from what I think to be the best car ever produced. Have a little patience and bear with those of us that are just learning....thanks little man.
