Caliper overheating?

I noticed the other day that when I got out of my car I smelled burnt brakes. So i went to every wheel and the rear driver side disk brake was overly hot and smelled like burnt brakes. The last few days its been fine untill today when it did it again. Any thoughts?

1. slow down.
2. check the caliper for binding. the slider pins have a tendency to lock up if you don't keep them greased. they'll cause the caliper to freeze and only wear on one pad, which causes nasty heat and wear problems... the heat problem is wha tyou're smelling.
