Just bought some new fogs yesterday, and they fit perfectly in the grill right below the turn signal, or they could be mounted underneath that one grill, so i took a pic of em in the grill, then in paint i put em under the grill, what do you guys think look better? good lookin lights for $20

pic 1 in the grill

pic 2 under the grill

pic 3 different angle of fogs in grill

They are pilot lights # PL-1074B, got em for 20 bucks at autozone! shoot cant beat that! and they look really nice and fit perfectly in that grill area, and i think thats where ill mount em. They are 55W, and it came with a ugly illuminated switch, no relay, and im still deciding how im going to hook em up, i have an OEM fog switch and relay coming to me in the mail, so i may just try to immitate the OEM route.. The way they have it its is a direct connection to the lights, so if i forgot to turn em off they would stay on all night and drain the battery. Ill see... not gonna mount em this weekend anywyas, damn rain. Heres a pic...

I dont know the quality of these or their reputaion, but for 20 it doesnt matter much.

looks nice man. Looks exactly like where I placed mine. I think mine may be a little bigger but they are o=pretty close. I definitely think they look a lot better than stock the way we mounted them.

I wired mine up with a factory switch and it works good. used all the aftermarket fog wiring and just hooked it up to that switch. mine were 17.00 though

you are correct

mine are under the grill thingie and thats what they are mounted to, you are right, there is no way to mount them in the grill unless you do some cutting and i was too lazy so i just mounted them to the grill thingie

Brandon,

When I was in my gauge cluster installing the SE cluster, I saw that my car was prewired for fogs. If you remove the panel that has the cruise/mirror switch, you should see a wire that is folded back onto the cruise wire and taped. That is the fog switch and you can just plug an OEM switch into that and it should work. Of course, you'd need to hook up your Pilots to the wires under the car (=you have to cut that little plastic part of the grill). So I think all GXE's are prewired and not just some. Hope your install goes well...I like those lights. Lates.

I have those same lights! I've had them on my car since May. They definitely belong mounted in the grill. That way, the lights are up higher and your visible range will be much better. Pretty damn bright lights for 20 bucks, huh? They're 55watts, helpful in snow, but I guess you dont have to worry about that
