I am posting this question since the search function doesnt seem to work for me.

Yesterday my car didnt start. At first it felt like a weak battery, so I pull out my booster pack, hook it up and try again. It didnt work. I heard the starter turning, then it stopped, then i had my dash lights start flickering very quickly with the door chime ringing over and over every time i tried starting. Eventually the car started, drove to where i had to go and shut off my engine and she started right back up. 2 hours i had the same problem.

Beside the high speed flickering of the dahs lights I noticed something else weird. My clock reset itself, but my stereo clock didnt, like the power was cut off.

I know I need to check my battery, alternator and starter, but I think i have another problem somewhere causing this flickering. A relay maybe? Bad ground in the starter?

Anyone else ever see these bizarre symptoms?

im haveing a simlar problem
it seems to happen randomly and i have to flick the key back and forth to get the start to go. most of then time i just hear it click
