i think i'm going to spend my money on a y-pipe instead of window tinting ;p. where could I get a good price on a y-pipe, and what brands are good? is cattman the only y-pipe maker?

from my understanding, the y-pipe connects to the catalitic converter? so i'll still need a cat-back exhuast if i want it to sound loud, and reap all teh benefits of an intake, and y-pipe?

i think cattman is the only company that makes a y pipe. stillen might, i'm not sure correct me if i'm wrong. most muffler shops should be able to make you a custom one for $$$ cheaper. many people have custom muffler shop y pipes. there have been some complaints on the cattman being too low and scraping the ground. i dont have one so i dont know from first hand experience. dont know about the catback.

If you can find the right shop they can do a custom job for you. I know Maximamike has one that was about ~$100 cheaper than the Cattman unit.
The good thing about the Cattman unit is it has been researched, and you can get it in Stainless Steel. In other words, all the hard work has been done for you. It's just buy and install.

I think I'm going to spend that 100$ extra, I mean, I'd rather pay that, than have some fuc*ed up down the road, and have to shell out another $300.00. Also, if I get the y-pipe, I still need a catback exhuast right?

i highly recommend you doing a little more reasearch on the pipes. i'm not going to open a huge can of worms but i'd just leave u with this...
if you get a custom pipe from your local pro then if anything goes wrong w/ it you can go back to them and have them fix it.
if anything goes wrong w/ the cattman pipe you'll need to send it back to cattman and have him check it out. now what u use in the meantime...well you do the math. also keep in mind of labor costs. if you plan on someone installing the pipe for you then you have to figure in the install price too. local places would prob charge you 1 price installed.
so all i have to say is make sure u know what you're getting before putting down your hard earned cash for it.
good luck
Dan
