are there any aftermarket kits i can use to add foglights to my gxe? hopefully ones that involve a minimal amount of cutting/drilling. and are they hard to wire?

Not too difficult

I added foglights to my '92 GXE 2 years ago. Since I wanted a very stock look, I bought a set of rectangular for lights (made by Blazer) and installed them at the stock location. The hardest thing I remember was after I drilled into the bumper support from the bottom side of the bumper, I had to tighten the nut (on the inside) which was a bear to access from the bottom side of the car.

Wiring was fairly straight forward. What I did was to also buy a relay kit (pretty cheap, also made by Blazer) and I went to the local Nissan salvage yard and got the facotry fog light switch.

For the fog light switch illumination, I tapped into to the illumination wire from the adjacent cruise control switch. Now when I turn on my headlights, the fog light switch lights up along with the rest of the dash.

I then wired up the fog light power switch to the relay and I was done. Except for the fact that the fogs are slightly smaller than the ones on the SE, it looks totally stock.

Nice thing I found out later (by accident) was that I can get replacement lenses for cheap (like $6) as a rock destroyed one of the lenses.

All in all, it set me back about $33. $20 for the light kit, $8 for the relay kit, and $5 for the switch.
