ever since i got my car the 3rd brake light never worked, i replaced the bulbs, but was to busy to tinker with it. So today i decided i would find out the problem, i pulled the covering off of the bottom of the trunk lid and followed the wires, around the hinge area, they are all cleanly cut, as if the first owner did it with clippers. i figured it would be easy, but there are four diffrent black wires....its going to be fun to try and find the correct wire for each

 

If the wire is black, it should be a ground. That can be easily checked with an ohm meter.
