I took my 94 GXE to a shop because it's drifting to the right. The place said there is no front caster/wheel alignment for the Maxima and other imports, so my only solution is to take the car to a body shop to stretch the frame. Does that sound right?

The only alignment parameter which is designed to be adjustable, front and back, is toe. Caster and camber has to be "kludged". Camber can be adjusted by adding special bolts, or top strut mounting plate.

"Stretch the frame"? Is this a serious practice for a car that hasn't been in an accident? Just by what it says it sounds a little f-ed up.

Stillen sells some special screws that adjust your front
camber +/- 3 degrees for around 30- 35 bucks. If you are lowering your car to 1.5" this would help.
