anyone need console lid (arm rest) refinished?

I don't know if any of you have had your console lids go to crap, but mine (leather) was shot and all of the stuffing was coming out.

I looked on ebay and checked junk yards for months and found nothing.

Several days ago, I came across a guy who has a business where he refinishes motorcyle seats. I asked him about my console lid and he said $20 to recover it.

I have black leather and I don't know if the material he used is really leather or what, but the thing looks and feels as good as new. He did the work in a day, too.

I am not sure about things like exactly matching fabric or tan leather, so I will have to ask him specifics as to what he can get or what he wants to do for how much. Black leather would be no problem for sure.

If you want something custom (say, red or blue) he could probably do that easy. I have seen several of his motorcycle jobs and he has done some cool Harley seats and he does lots of older restored bike seats back to original, too.

PM or email me if you are interested.

I talked to him again today. This would be especially cool for those of you with custom rides.

He can recover your arm rest in any color leather or fabric you want and also change stitching colors. That means, if you have a red interior, you can get red with white stitching. If you have blue or green or whatever, you can get it.

Also, he has access to a zillion different fabrics and I think he could match stock fabric pretty darn close.

Anyone?

I guess I could post pics. I'll get them later today.

It looks exactly like my armrest looked when it was new...

I don't have pics of a custom one because mine is black with black stitching.

I put pics on page six of my webpage. Try that.

The guy's email address is:

rickticknor@hotmail.com

I don't know how often he checks his email. His phone number is (541)298-6936.

I can also contact him, since I deliver his mail sometimes and I drive by his shop all of the time.

I know he ships things. I delivered a bunch of big motorcycle seats from all over the country to him.

He specializes in motorcycle restoration and seat recovering, but he does all kinds of upholstery work.
