Adding SE fogs to a GXE?

People--

Just wondering if there is a best practice or FAQ response to GXE owners who want to add the fogs like the SE has.

Anyone have any feedback? I was thinking of the Stillen body kit for my GXE, and thought adding fogs would be a nice touch if it can be done relatively easily.

Thanks all!

its really not that hard. just go to the junkyard and take them off a trashed SE this way you get the brackets, lights, and the switch that goes in the dash. if you really want the wiring and such you can take that too or just go to radio shack and get a relay and do the wiring yourself. probably going to need bulbs too.

I did that. My gxe along with a lot of others came with the wiring already there. I put the fogs in, put the relay in under the hood, put the fuse in, and put a factory switch in from I got from a junk yard.

plug and play.

here is a pic of it with the stillen. To me the stillen looks much better with factory se fogs. I like the GXE fogs you can get from the dealer for pretty cheap but I still think the bigger SE fogs would look better with the Stillen lip.

the holes are already in the reinforcement to screw in the fogs, so like mike said, plug and play. i hooked mine up with the park lamps so they are always on when the park lamps are on

You can also buy a kit from Nissan that will give you a foglight switch that goes right in the dash. My mom has this on her 90 GXE.

yeah but thats more expensive than getting it from the junk yard like I did.

Some Maximas are NOT pre wired though. I remember some saying that theirs were not. If thats the case then you need the wiring kit from Nissan or just hook it up some other way (like Shavedmax)

most likely yours is.
pull off the trim where the dummy swith is, have a look, if you can see a spare male switch plug which would be taped then BINGO!
just done mine last night.
good luck.
