I live very near you, tonight I will talk to you and if you want one of these nights we will meet up and you can check out the spoiler on my car and compare the roof spoiler but I am telling you now they are way different, I compared JTmax03 who bought one from you for his 2003 Max and its way off. So I think the interest and affordable projects seem to be the spoiler and roof spoiler.

Yeah, it's called a cutout. I can go with a manual cutout or electric. Electric is nice to have. Quick Time Electric Cutout ... aka QTEC.

*edit* Oh yeah, I'd really consider headers for a VE if they have dyno proof. But, headers for the VE would probably require a different Ypipe. That would make things very expensive. If there was some way for these headers to bolt onto WSP Ypipes, then it would sell. But I don't think that's possible without fabbing up a different Ypipe.

headers aint a bad idea especially if they were under 500$ and were good for around 15whp but i dont think either of those comments could met

It's for the 90-93 model. Xenon said they use to make them but not anymore. I have check car domain for Q45's but no one seems to have it.

Dmonzsta..I can't find 'Topend' using the user search. Is that his name on this board? Also you got a pic of the spoiler from the rear or any other angle?

I've heard bad things about Qtec over on Honda Tech...I'm going with Mccord E-cutout once my turbo setup is done, plus Mccord is only $105.

I like the Q45 one better...its a little more "pronounced" than the WW one. it would look sweet on a fully kitted Max

I did a lot of reading on Mccords and QTEC. Both have their problems. To me, both are equal. Both have sealing issues sometimes. Mccord has motor malfunctions. And QTEC has gearing issues... or vice versa. I forget. But I did a lot of reading and they seem equal to me. And yeah, you're right... Mccord is cheaper. QTEC is $170 with Flowtech and Mccord is $105 without Flowtech. Flowtech is around $25-30.

I'm still thinking about it. But I WILL get an electric cutout before Nov of this year. That's my goal for the next track visit when I plan on beating my NC track record in higher altitude.

I agree with N34JZ.

Headlights would be nice. The stock housings on the 3rd generation is for lack of a better word, crap! Not to mention that the 9004 bulb produces the least amount of lumens of all the 9000 series.

I have always fancied the e-code (european) beam pattern. The only problem is they drive on the other side of the road. This puts the beam into oncoming eyes.

This beam pattern does away with hotspots and spreads the light evenly creating a sharp cutoff. This keeps the light out of oncoming drivers' eyes (providing they aren't european code).

We could design a housing that provides this beam pattern and also use a 9005, or H4. Problem is that they are higher wattage and would burn up most harnesses. Both bulbs produce twice as much lumens as the 9004.

I still think that a housing that utilizes the 9004 bulb and has an e-code beam pattern only reversed for the states would project light to the road much nicer than having hotspots.

For those who aren't familiar with e-code, this page shows the difference between DOT and E-CODE. Scroll down half way.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show.../t-129853.html

And this website will tell you all about e-code.

I would be down for chrome gauge rings. other ideas:

Stillen gt style wing replica
Cf hood (oem or with vents etc.)
CF fenders (oem or z3 style etc.)
Cf trunk lid
Chrome or cf door pillars
chrome or cf door handles
chrome/ brushed aluminum door inserts
Different style grille
2 in 1 gauges (reverse / el glo)
Chrome or brushed aluminum door sills that say maxima
A new urethane body kit skyline or simple like custom maxima 4th gen kit
Coilovers (damn near impossible too $$$)
turbo or sc kit (damn near impossible too $$$)
bolt on Lambo door kit like decah (possibly too expensive/ perhaps even too ricey for some)
Suicide doors (same as above)

Just some ideas some out of the box some do able. i just wish we just had more products for our cars. ive been down for most all gd but they almost always fall through. good luck. always mad props for people trying to stir up new products for the ever so forgotten 3rd gen max's.

I agree with Da-Max..I like the Q45 one much better...I like whale tail spoilers. Beside that Q45 one also has a 3rd brake light. I have a kaminari on on my 91 so I'm going to transfer it over to my 93 with the body kit to see how it looks.

If you look close, you'll see that QTEC makes a normal electric cutout and then one made for Borla exhausts. You don't have a Borla exhaust, so you just get the regular QTEC for $135.

$11 shipped for Flowtech? Very nice. I will do that and then get the QTEC valve.

I was saying $170 is what it costs shipped. I found this site a while back and I'm planning on buying from them since they have the best price on QTECs.

Cut your adapter??? Naw, Aaron... you don't have to do that! Bro... buy a hardwire kit from Wal-mart, Best Buy, or one of those places for about $10-$12. But, then again, FREE is always better.

Hardwire kit? hmm Will it plug into my radar detector and then connect to a 12v source?

Yep. It has adapters for just about any detector you may have. I'll get the exact name and part # tomorrow for ya. I just wired mine to a 12v switched source so the radar detector only comes on when the car is on.

Ok, let see here..

Spoilers - Very do-able.. Just need a sample to copy. I am doing that for a 4th gen spoiler as we speak. Takes 2 weeks for a prototype to be made. (Figure I would need to borrow a spoiler for 4 weeks w/ shipping and everything)

Headlights - I have the contacts to get this done, just not the resources.. Creating the mold for new headlights is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.. Not worth it for me or you guys IMO.

Turbo - Possible, if there is a JDM car that shares the same engine/layout that they can develop the kit on. Cuz I can't exactly mail them a 3rd gen and have them make a kit.

Chrome Gauge Rings - Someone measure for me the diameter of all the rings in millimeters and its a done deal.

2 in 1 gauges - Possible but, I need to order 100 sets. Will I be able to move 100 sets?

CF Door Pillars - Will work on it.

CF Hood - Will work on it as well...

CF Fenders - hmm..

Bodykit - too much for now...

Grille - what styles?

Coilovers - hmm.. i have a few places i deal with that make coilovers but I personally don't know what's involved in getting them made for a specific application.. I'll try to find out. If you guys have a JDM car that is interchangeable w/, you may be in luck.

Cupholder - ehhhhh.......

well, I gotta go with DARHAW- as lame as it may be, I want cup holders too...and not the wal-mart kind. Those are even more lame. Like that gauge set up, though...

Looks the same to me...just different angles. I was just posting a link to the WW spoiler that Donald thinks is the same wing anyway...wasnt saying that it was for sure the same thing.

If you are going to do a spoiler might as well make a WW Type 2 one that everyone likes. It also incorprates a third brake light.

Also there must be a JDM car that shares the same engine because subs100w just got a JDM engine, VE that is.
