vg power supply.

how being that i have the same motor in my ole pahtfinder as the max {different intake manifold}

some of the pathy guys {including myself} are doing this, and its something you might want to think about.

there is a slight difference between the vg of the pathy/maxima/300zx and the s/c frontier and xtrerra. not enough to ward this away from doing it.

the lower intake manifold. and s/c assembly from the s/c trucks.

now im in the process of collecting parts to do this on my 95 pathy. it requires some modding of the intake ports to match up right.

the only problem i can see if being on the maxima is the tb will be on the other side of the car.

discuss

what kind of s/c is it? is it bolted on the manifold or is it more of a vortech style?

since the tb would be on the backside you could do what i'm planning on doing with my car and use a top mount aftercooler (depending on the s/c style)

its a roots style SC. Arent the belts different on the Pathy's 3.0l VG compared to the Maxima's VG (as in V vs. serpentine)?

I would only worry about hood clearance.

its not a serp style belt on the frontier's or pathy's or 300zx's
it shouldn't be on the maxima either,

hood clearance is a problem. cowl hood!

maxima's have serpentine. the 87-89 300zx also has serpentine. 84-86 uses v-belt. that must mean the pathy's have the engine with the shorter crank snout... hmm...

odd, it seems the four 300zx's i did timing belts on {88. 86, 89, 85} all had three belts, like my pathfinder.

You're confusing the term "serpentine"

Look at a 4th gen and most GMs.. they have a single, serpentine belt. one belt drives ALL accessories. 3rd gen does not have serpentine belts. it has different belts running different accessories.

BTW... few weeks ago, I saw a VG33 pathy engine in a Z31. The hood didn't close properly, but it was in there and it was FAST! (probably running about 20lb boost also though. had a monster T4 on it.)

mm wonder why it wouldn't close right

thats my other option. im waiting for them to aution off a wrecked 2k qx4 {240+hp i think}
if the s/c thing fails im shoving that thing in the pathy.

i love it when i know im right, other people know im right, but there is always someone who thinks they know more
