Started the Tranny swap

After ****in around for about a week or 2 finally got started on the the 5 speed/ auto conversion. Have to say, gettin them pedals out were a beeeeiiiiitch. Any how got a good start. Kinda sucks tho, i have to turn my manual into an automatic when im done, so i can at least get some money back out of it. I hear alot of people turnin their autos into manuals but nothin about vice versa. As long as the manual works i really dont care about that auto, but like i said it would be nice to turn around and sell it and get some money back. Anyhow if anyones got any input, let me have it.

So you are gonna convert, and then switch back when you are ready to sell your car?

Trust me, doing it once is more than enough trouble. Plus its easier when you dont have to worry about saving the tranny for anything

Let me clarify

Which would you rather have

1994 Nissan maxima 5 speed with 111k miles

1992 Nissan Maxima Automatic with 30k miles

Obviously you'd rather have a 92 with 30k, but who the hell wants an automatic. What i was gettin at was i need to take the auto tranny out of the 92 and put it in the 94 after i take the manual out the 94 and put it in the 92.

putting the auto in the 94 is probobly not going to be posible with out swapping entire wiring harnesses between cars it would be alot easier to just swap the engines thats going to be much easier that way your 94 5sod will technicaly have 30k on it
