I had posted awhile back that I my AC unit was turning on and off. Sometimes it would happen every few minutes and then come back on in as little as a minute. It would do this at idle and at all other times of driving.

I found this guy locally that does AC work on the side. (He works at an AC repair shop during the day. He fixed my Grand Caravan and saved me about $600 in labor.) He said he thought it was my expansion valve since it has some kind of sensor that will turn off the flow of freon when it reaches a certain temperature. In my case it was not sensing correctly.

I got a OEM valve from Kaleb and an aftermarket drier since that part was not as crucial and saved me about $40.

I picked it up today and it is working great. He only charged me $70 which included the freon.

I thought I would share my story since a few others said that they had the same problem when I originally enquired about it.

I live in Florida and I have to have AC. Hope this helps someone.
