fuel problem with the new motor

ive got the jdm in adn everything hooked up so i tried to start it thismorning and the first crank it started but then dies a split secontd later and then wouldnt start so we spayed a bunch of wd40 into the tb and it started again but then dies so i know i have spark (i also hooked up a coil/sparkplug outside the engine and saw spark) i also have fuel pressure, when unplug the high presure hose from the fpr fuel sprayes everywhere and when i leve it unpluged and turn thew ignition on it pump gas out. so i changed the fpr with the one from my old engine and still nothing. so i unplug the fuel return line from the back fuel rale and turn the ignition on thinking that fuel should com spraying out but nothing comes out. i have a spare front fuel rail with all injectors and fpr so i hook up the high presuer line to the fpr and still know fuel is coming out the other side. the only thing i havent checked is accual fuel pressure with a gauge because i dont have one and autozone dont rent them out but it seems to have pressure. i know the engine would start if i could get fuel past the fpr but ive tryed 3 fprs and none seem to work, one beeing off my old engine which sorta ran fine and i read in my fsm that you dont need the vacum line to even be plugged in for the engine to run any help appretiated thanks

So you're getting fuel into the fuel rail but nothing out of the rail. If you only disconnect the rubber hose from the FPR and turn the ignition on do you get fuel out the regulator?

What exactly do you mean by
"im not getting any fuel past the regulator into the rail"
Did you mean to say
"I'm not getting any fuel past the regulator out of the rail"

The way you worded it sounds like you have the fpr at the begining of the rail right after the fuel filter instead of the end of the rail. I know you probably have it the correct way I'm just making sure

I think you might have reconnected the fuel line backward. The fuel hose coming from the fuel filter goes into the fuel rail and comes out from the fuel rail with the fuel pressure regulator.
