ECU difference?
car runs either way.
Automatic ECU will work in a 5spd just fine, except the Variable Intake will not work.
Manual ECU will not work with an Auto because it does not have the tranny controls that the Auto ECU has.
The 'clutch switch' thing is not an issue because on a 5spd that circuit is activated using a microswitch on the clutch pedal assembly, while on an auto it is a switch used to determine if the car is in the Park or Neutral position. No matter what its the same circuit, just a matter of how its wired on the car.
this is the second time I've typed it out, so search
