i got a pacesetter and i love the shorter throw. it is definitely worth it but DO NOT get the pacesetter. it seems like a quality product but for some reason it is very difficult to shift.

i think if you can raise where the ball is supposed to be it will shift better but i've not tested it yet. i should be able to test it tomorrow and let everyone know how it goes. if it works like i think it will the pacesetter wouldn't be too bad to get.

Yeh I read on here that it can become a pain to shift if the length isn't modified just right. Keep messing with it.

i have it for the shortest shift possible (80% decrease according to pacesetter) and i don't want it to be any wider. should be able to make the shifting better by lifting up the mounting point.

i have it and although ive only used it for a few days it seems fine, although i didnt tighten the 2 nuts holding the ball inplace all the way and i lubbed it up really good and its just as smooth as factory. i also have it the shortest throw possible and loove how much funner it is to shift than the old footlong throw stocker a great mod for 75$

at custommaxima.com I noticed that they were selling it for $65. Is it pretty simple to install? And I would really like o know how well that adjustment goes because this is the only short throw I cant can find under $100.

hmm... i may do what subs1000w did and keep the two bolts a bit looser. my only fear is that they could fall out. on the other hand i could use loctite... hmm... very interesting. i'll go try it out tomorrow. hopefully i can use my uncles car lift.

got mine off ebay - full adjustable - its on about 65 to 70% shorter thow, at first it was really had to throw so i changed the tension and raised it a TINY bit. now it shifts great. 65 bucks did it. trust me get that crutch outta your car it looks nicer and it definitly nicer to shift !

Getting a short shifter is definitely worth the money. I have one and the throw is much shorter, I can basically change gears by flicking my wrist.

i am looking to buy a pacesetter shifter for my 3rd gen, but the seller (used) cant tell me if its for the 89-94 or for the 95-01. SO, can someone supply me with some kind of ID (i.e. part#) from there shifter so i can be positive im buying the correct one.
Thanx in advance.
