www.autotrader.com and don't mention the sticky gas pedal...

170k isn't really that high mileage for a car that's 12 model years old. Check the value (private party) at www.kbb.com
In good condition, your car is probably worth about $2800. That seems a little high to me, but you should check the blue book value and look in the autotrader and your local paper to get a feel for about how much a car like yours with your approximately the same miles and options.

either auto trader or www.autoshopperonline.com hey or you can go to www.ebay.com and auction it off !

The blue book value is always too high.
170k on a GXE is especially high considering the tendency of the auto trannys to break down. But then again, potential buyers are probably unaware of this.
Good luck though.

Blue book is nice for a reference, but unless you plan on putting it out on the net for sale (like ebay), it's really only worth what other people would pay for it in your area. If the Grand Junction paper is on-line, try and search to see what a similar car in similar condition has sold for, or what other people are asking for it. Autotrader might be helpful in that regard too.

That's why I said "get a feel for about how much" to sell the car for.
My blue book (private party) is over $3400. I know that's too high. I paid $2500 for it and I got a nice set of snow tires mounted on wheels with it.

do you have a carmax near you...they will buy the car from you and occsionally offer near blue book. At least it gives you an idea what a stealership will give you.
Couple of things to make it sell faster and maybe get some more $$.
Clean it like it's showroom clean and try to keep it that way. Make sure to take evreything out of the car other then what's needed...people want to see it as their car, not a car with someone elses stuff in it.
Get any small repairs done on it. If the oil needs to be changed, then do it. Rotate the tires, get them balanced, and perform an alignment. Make sure it drives well.
Pull a carfax report on it, so others can see their are no hidden items
If you have the service records, write them out on a piece of paper so people can see what you did. Note: give this only to people who don't really know what's going on...if someone knows what's going on then they may be able to pick up on items you neglected for some time or didn't do and use that to lower the price they offer you
Check edmunds.com. They have more suggenstions and also give a better estimate then kdd for what it can actually sell for.
good luck
