rear strut problem

I just had my rear strut catridges and intrax springs replaced I blew the first set 14 mile after I had them on The new ones feel like theve gone already is it possible for worn strut mounts to give premature wear on new struts?I have kyb struts,are there any bushings in the rear that may need replacement?oh yeah this on a 92 gxe
