My poor maxima...

The first time my 1990 SE failed to start on me was after I had left the lights on for the first time during school. I came out and me and my friend push started it. A week later it rained all night and the car wouldn't start at all. I replaced the battery and it worked like new.
Well it rained last night and now the car isn't starting again. My lights and all electronics are functioning but my engine is not turning over. I believe that I am not getting a spark. Plz help.

Plus every once in a while I think my engine starts and misses one or two cylinders because its mildly violent after startup for about two minutes.

Have you done any kind of service on your car? I'm gauging that you have a VG because of the year, so you may want to change out your cap, rotor, and wires as a preventative measure.

Agreed...moisture in the cap can cause all sorts of interesting things...just like what you are experiencing.
