I was looking at some ignition systems, specifically the ACCEL 300+. It says that it causes sparks to burn more fuel. This would produce more power. How much HP gain is expected from using this system? I was told that unless you are running NOS or have a turbo that the upgraded ignition systems dont do anything. can someone help clear this up for me. thanks

not true......

well about the fuel issue that is true, but iginitions not helping n/a performance isn't!! I think it all comes down to which system you go for, if you are looking into a good ignition ssytem go for a Jacobs, they have shown 10-15hp increases in 4cyl. Hondas(according to Jacobs) and upwards of 20-25hp in a Maxima!!! Best choices from Jacobs are Import ICE Pak, Pro Street w/ Ultra Coil(for serious HP applications) and the Omni Magnum for which I think is perfect for the average modder since it is compact and puts out sufficient power to support bolts ons!! as for the Accel I'd avoid it since we have proof from one of our own members that the Jacobs is a known power adder both w/ NOS and N/A!!! go for it, I'm sure a couple of the other guys on here will tell you the same, especially The Max(Mr. 80 shot nitrous!!) he loves his Jacobs ProStreet Ignition!!! right Tony!?
