Fender rolling/cutting/blah blah..

Think you could make 17x9's fit under there by rolling and cutting the inner lips of the fenders? Must have Skyline wheels. 17x9, cast magnesium, and only 12 lbs! Woot woot!

saw a dude roll out the fenders on an escort to fit larger width wheels. dont know if i'd do this, but he put the wheels on and wedged a broom between the wheel and the fender. he moved the car forward slowly turning the wheel with the broom around the fender pushing it out smoothly. dont know how much you can push them out by doing this, but he said it worked for him.

Kinda hard to do. Plus the offsets would have to be spot on. I'm thinking 17x8.5 is about the limit. I would definately have a bodyshop do the work though.
