KYB or BOGE Front Struts ??

I'm about to order front struts for my 92 SE 5sp. I have KYB available for $55.00 each and BOGE for $75.00 each. I've heard of KYB, but not familiar with BOGE. Which brand do you guys suggest ?

BTW, I'm also looking at BOGE rear strut inserts for around $47 each, KYB isn't available.

Thanks,

Serv

KYB's are good stock replacement dampers. And yes, the are available for the rears.

Try www.shox.com or other retailers.

I've heard reports that boge struts aren't that great. If I were you, and your car isn't lowered, I'd go with KYB because they're known quality.

Thanks for the responses. Can someone with KYBs chime-in? Its a good point about known quality, isn't KYB made in Japan?

I'm not looking for ultra high performance struts, just something a little tighter than stock. My Max. has 115000 miles, so I'm sure any new struts would be a major improvement.

I'm in the same boat, except I'm at 140k with the stockers. I don't need huge improvement over stock, but a little tighter as you said.

I have ST springs and KYB shocks for the first two years or so it was great now i think the shocks have given up on me. They are good for there price though and when u first take the car out u will feel the diffrence.

Thanks VGman, anyone else with KYBs? Looks like they'll be ok, they definitely seem to be a good value.

i will chime in for tokico blues. there is occasional tokico bashing on the general forum. apparently, the series available for 4th or 5th gens are not that great. but for 3rd gens are really good. i have them. they are a happy-medium between tight and not-too tight. especially with ST springs.
