Illfated 3rd Generations lately......

Hi guys, reading these posts, it seems that a lot of people have been hitting our cars!! WTF??? They all seem to be women drivers too!! Maxpat got hit and totalled by a woman. I just read a couple of other posts that say they were hit by women!! I on October 6 got rearended by an old lady picking her coat up off the passengers side floor!!
I have one thing to say PAY ATTENTION !!!! Most accidents happen when people are either going too fast or not paying attention or both. I have some statistics for you from a survey conducted by the American Automobile Association, and candid camera. Here they are:

30 % using cell phones
97 % reaching or leaning
91 % fiddled with the radio
77 % eat or drink
46 % grooming themselves
40 % reading or writing

These distractions cause 1.2 million crashes a year and 12,000 fatalities a year. I'm not saying that I'm a perfect driver, but I've been driving for almost 14 years and never had an accident that was my fault believe it or not! Have had rearended twice in my Max. Both at stoplights.
FYI

Yep, here's another victim of women's inability to drive.

i have noticed for the past few weeks threads here and there about 3rd gens being wrecked, and it is sort of disheartening. i am glad these stories are 'lived to tell about it' types.

for anyone, if you can bear it, remove and/or do not replace the radio. like in the WRX STi --it comes radioless from the factory because the statement is "driving enthusaists car."

when my radio failed, i never replaced it. and i have found driving for the past 2 years without a radio a pleasure and a great way to stay focused. i react on a dime to even slight hazards this way.

and i see that it is 2nd only to "reaching and leaning" as a causal factor in distraction --surprising as i thought for sure cell phones would be the main culprit. but that is a myth.

HMMMM.... I could really use a 1st gen camaro it's the only generation not currently in our collection. and 69 would fit in real well with the 79 and 89
Wanna make a deal
