95 altima injectors = VE injectors?!??

Was looking for Ve injectors today at the wreckers, and as usual no luck with a VE motor, although i did look at a 95 altima. The injectors are identical, same coloured top, same markings and numbers, so i brought them home.

One of my injectors failed, so i needed to replace it. But seeing as i rarely drive my maxipad, i refuse to pay for one.

The impedance is 10.8ohms on the Maxima's, Mitchels guide calls for a 10 ohm reading. The Altima's are 11.4ohm, pretty close.

I have yet to take one of each injector, max and alti, to a friend of mine, and have him flow each injector.

Does anyone know the flowrates for the altima injectors?? Mitchels guide is useless for this part.

Driveability with 1 altima injector is not noticeable at all, so its staying that way till the car is sold.

Does anybody else have experience with this???

Looks like the Beck/Arnley reman injectors are the same for the VE and KA.... but the Borg Warner are different (there's actually about 4 of them for the VE, and 1 for the KA... but all different)

I'll try to find Oe part numbers tomorrow.

tell me about it nupe.
i feel like such a freakin' noobie. even with the sig explainin' the situation.
it's hard to get back up there because i use www.torontomaxima.com for all the local chat/meets/pics/buy/sell. i gained most of my stripes under "shock211" back in the canada forum here before torontomaxima.com was around. and now since i've learned so much about 3rd gens i ask much last questions in the 3rd gen forum.
but i'll be back up there soon enough. besides i plan on getting myself a VE in the next year or two, so i'll be around here for at least another 3-4 years.

They may be compatible but they are not the same.
the altima injector should have higher capabilities than the VE injector
6 inj = 3.0 = .5 per inj
4 inj = 2.4 = .6 per inj
But most companies list them as different including the oem
So you decide.
Personally I'd use it with no worries. but I'd also want a matching set of six. to be sure that the comp runs the same duty cycle for all otherwise you MIGHT (probably) have one rich cylinder
