5spd 2 Auto/ Auto 2 5spd conversion Update

Well after about 4 weeks, my 94 Maxima is now an Automatic. Swapped the ecu, wiring harness, tranny bla bla bla, the only thing i didnt change was the variable intake, which we all should know doesnt normally come on automatics. Only drove it for about 3 minutes. On the way home, i noticed it was studdering a little bit, almost like it wanted to die, which it did once. But it would also just turn off out of no where every now and then when it was a 5 speed. So im a little clueless. You think its a fuel problem or does it have somthing to do with the intake manifolds? Need help, anything would be appreciated.

couple more weeks the auto to 5 speed should be done too.

Searching may be appropriate, but i doubt im gonna find anything about someone turning their 5 speed into an automatic and rather the variable intake has somthing to do with it or not.

why convert a 5spd to A/T? was the 5spd tranny going bad? (looks at signature and needs to start combing junkyards for trannies)

Yeah bare with me, you probably have already posted why you're going from a 5spd to a auto then back to a 5spd (if I read your subject line correct). What's the reason, are you just testing your skills/knowledge and have some spare time.

HAHA, No i have 2 cars, two good cars, just one has an **** load of miles and one has 30k, the 30k was an auto, obviously id rather have lower miles with a 5spd, but i still need to have 2 cars when im done. So its a complete swap.

Thank you for clearing that up, now you may resume to your original program

Think i fixed the problem for the most part, had a plug plugged into somewhere it shouldnt be. Still a little bit of stalling, but I think ill refer to the search function as internetautomar previously suggested.

and Caleb, other projects on hold for a bit, out of cash. But as soon as I sell this automatic p.o.s. I should be str8. word to your mother.
