1 fog light not working, please help

Yes, I know many of you would say the bulbs is blown out. This is not the case. After removing the fog light with the 10mm socket, after snapping one rusted bolt, I removed the lens and the inside is all rusted. I managed to get the old one out and put the new one in and plug the wire in. I tested it out and still does not light up. Do you think I need a whole new fog light housing or is there a seperate fuse/relay that would be the problem? Thanks.

well if the other light is working, it's probably not the fog relay or fuse. do the wires look corroded in any way? if not, i don't really have any other clues. good luck.

First of all check if you get "ground" on your fog light (as you said - it is all rusted out - in this case just add a ground wire), then check if you have "power" (if not - the only option is to re-wire it).

There should be just one relay for both fog lights, right?

Yes, there IS only one relay. Have you tested the actual fog light harness plugging into the fog light itself? Test that for 12v using a DMM or testlight before you do anything else. All this removing the fog light housing is gonna do you NO good if you don't have power going to the light itself.

Also, you said the bulb isn't blown but you didn't say how you came by this decision. Did you check the filament in the bulb or swap it out with the working side or just apply power to it? Kinda unclear on that.

I'd suggest first testing the wiring, 12v as well as ground, then make SURE you have a working bulb (and "new" doesn't always mean "working").
