Door inserts

Did anybody ever re-placed those worn plastic inserts on front door's hinges?
How easy is it to re-place 'em or in other words, how easy is it to take the door off?

It's a lot easier to change out the WHOLE hinge - that's what I found.

But they are not cheap, you know (four hinges by ... ).
Four plastic caps/spacers by $2.50 ... make much more sense.
Anyway, I just asked if anybody replaced 'em before or removed doors before.

Oh... Well, I was going to replace the spacers at one time, but my problem ended up being sagging pins in the hinges. So I just replaced the whole thing. Which was actually VERY easy.... AND a one-person job at that! If you DO decide to remove the door, though, you might wanna get someone to help you support it. Just a thought...
