So, I heard that my 93SE has a VLSD. How effective is
it? What do you guys think is better, a 1990 Subaru AWD
wagon with no LSD or the FF Maxima with LSD? My friend
keeps bragging about how his has superior traction and will
kick my car's butt in the snow... I'm still gonna be
careful and buy my *** some snowchains and drive at a
leisurely 10 MPH as I watch his AWD car fly off the road.
Oh well, there's no convincing or arguing with him.

Actually, it's more ignorant to go slow than fast, within reason. My '89 5 speed had BALD tires, we're talking a full season of drag racing and rotating the tires and finishing the season. When the big ice storm in Tennessee hit, I got off work at the hospital and passed EVERYONE on my way home. I'm talking steep hills on the highway (this is TN remember?) and people who were doing 10 mph were blocking traffic cause they were too dum to speed up! Even with bald tires, I only slid twice going up hill. I tried to spin my car around in the parking lot (no tred on the sides) and it wouldn't! Of course I have around 200 pounds of stereo and stuff in the back, but still! So, just be carefull, keep it around 20 mph and deceant tires, you'll be fine, just avoid the idiots!
