New Alternator

I just put in a new alternator and battery, but my battery seems to keep dying. Is it possible that the alternator I got just isn't putting out enough to charge the batter when I run other electrical things? It seems as though when I drive at night, it won't start the next day. Sounds to me like the alternator isn't charging the battery properly. Is there anyway I could have put the alternator in incorrectly? It must be producing some power, because the car runs right after it is jump started.

Check the voltage when charging. It should be ~14 Volts. If it is you probably have a bad battery or a bad connection to the battery.

had the same problem, if the alternator checks good, check the + battery cable where it connects to the battery, there is a 2" jumper wire running along side the terminal block of the + cable, mine was broken.
