its just easier than saying that it will cost at least a thousand to get to fit right, thn time to put it on and paint it, depends on urethane or fiberglass, blah blah, see what you made me do i said it anyways, lol

glad to hear yours is home, mine is in a garage all alone crying, but at least it isnt getting dirty

It'll fit. All you need is duct tape and a staple gun

as an exhibitionist's novelty, it'd be cool to see it done seamlessly. like at a hot import nights with hot asian chicks spreading all over it. why not?

as for me, truly, i like the 3rd gen as it is. maybe a stillen lip would do. but lowering a stock gen3 gives it an instant "body kit" look. mine is lowered. and people remark, at times, "is there a body kit on that?" and i say, "well. thank you, but it is just lowered." fly wheels with drop says enough.

i do not like giant wings, either. totally stupid. unless it serves some racing downforce function. i still nearly puke when i see the lowered honda with stickers and this huge gigantic sickening and useless 3 foot high wing mounted to the trunk. time to throw up. add the k-mart altezza-rip-offs and i am fully blowing chunks.

Why not just fit a whole 4th gen front end on a 3rd gen, and make it look seamlessly then?

I think that'd be kinda cool lookin. Hehe.

Yeah but it was painted by a pro...not a novice like me. I am pretty sure I will have to wet sand and buff...I am getting a nice new paint gun soon though and even with my cheap gun my last paint job was pretty nice without having to wet sand and buff...minimum orange peal (about like factory).

MrGone:
Yeah what he said.

Its a long story but basically I didnt think I would finish my car before NOPI so I took it to a friend (ex now) that was good at body work and gave him some money to go ahead and start on the car and I would pay him the rest when I got it back. He works at a big dealership in town but also does stuff on the side at his own shop. A bunch of stuff went down...he got kicked out of the shop he was using...moved my car to a new shop close to his house...blah blah blah. Long story short...not only did he not have it ready for NOPI he didnt touch it at all. I finally just said forget the money I paid him and went and got the car. I didnt pay him much to start thank goodness but I still hate losing any money at all.

He said he would give me the money back but I dont think I will ever see it. He is in bad financial troubles and I dont see any light at the end of the tunnel for him since he will not get off of his butt and do work on the side like he should.

He was supposed to have the car for a week and kept it for close to 3 months.

Oh well live and learn.

Now I have to get motivated again and block sand the car to get it nice and slick so I can paint it.

sigh...prime, guide coat, sand...prime, guide coat, sand...sigh.

Gotcha . I remember you were having some problems with him trying to get it painted, but I thought you got it done right (i mean right) before NOPI, but then I heard you didnt have your car there. Now I know why. Well atleast the end result is going to be absolutely awesome!

sounds awfully familiar.... a few of the local Vintage Mustang (name of the board) guys have been or are in the process of repainting their cars. One guy just finished a few months ago, but it seems like just yesterday. He spent sooo much time sanding and prepping for the final coats. End result, oh man it looks awesome. It's 'arrest me red', and he its just amazing. I love good paint jobs (and the blue you are using)

the 4th gen front end on the 3rd gen would be like an S15 conversion on an S13 or S14. as i said, it would be a show novelty. not much else. but better with the veilside brighten girls giving tongue.

i can't stand the thought of mini-van suspension with a VQ.

4th gen may look good from the front, but the beam under the **** of it doesn't say sport to me. why go the route of the VQ only to cop out on the rear? nissan must have been in their throes of filing chapter 7 or something in the mid-90's. good thing reneault bailed them out.
