back are 6x9's

If its bose then its a 4" front, or atleast it is for the VE's. I believe all 89-94 Bose have the same speakers.

If you are planning on replacing your front speakers, I would recommend getting 6.5s and buying a set of speaker pods from James. Well worth the extra money.

fronts are 4x6, doesn't matter if you have bose or not. for the rears, they're 6.75" without bose system or 6x9 with the bose.

I am interested in these speaker pods, do they mount inside the door? How much are they, and which James on here do I contact for these?

James92SE. Search is down, but if you PM him he'll send you pictures of how they mount inside the pod.

little echo here, but yeah 4x6 in front 6.5-6.75" in back for non bose...I should have built my own pods for 6.5" for the front when I changed my factory speakers out (wasn't a .org member then, wouldn't have thought about others making the same thing that I would spend a week doodling and cutting to come up with an ugly final result) I have pioneer 2 way 4x6 speakers up front and a pioneer 45w x 4 HU..cheapo pioneer dual cone 6.5" in back (I strongly reccomend 6.75, as 6.5" dont fit quite right and are just a little bit more of a pain to install for no difference in sound quality) and it all sounds pretty good, though not a competition system...yet..

Get ya a set of those 6.5" pods for the front and a good set of 6.5" speakers and you'll be better off, since the only 4x6s that compare to a quality 2,3, or 4 way 6.5" are plate 4x6s and they dont fit quite right and are usually more expensive..

If I ever get a completely functional dig. camera and software, I'll reorganize all of my speaker wires and such and take pics of my entire setup, minus back seat and half the carpet and all..

you can look on the 5th page of my cardomain (www below). I have pics of James92SEs speaker pods. They mount right into the stock location. If you have bose, the bolts are right there for you to use, too.

If you dig around in the 3rd gen For Sale forum, James has posted on this in the last weeks or so.

I've made a few sets of speaker pods, and trust me, if you haven't made any before, by the time you account for materials and half the time it will take you, James pods are well worth it.

i built those pods they took a while and still are not done, the only advantage to these is they are angled and are sealed.

working at a lumberyard = cheap supplies..being a carpenter and master of ghetto rigging = ability to use few supplies to make a less than pretty, however functional result..

btw, I like the setup you have there, now if only you had them covered by grilles or somthing it would be pretty..are the speakers in the doors midbass with a removable tweeter or do you just have two midrange sets, or do I have it backwards and the ones in the kick panel are midbass and the ones in the door are midrange?

..once finished, that will look very good..you guys with grey or black interiors are lucky..those of us with beige interiors have to really work at mixing and matching to make it look good..

Does his pods bolts fits non-bose systems or do I have to make adjustments.

the door speaker is mb quarts components set, thats a briaxle type speaker, with crossover in the door. then i have the cadence component set. with the crossovers under the seat. all i did was cut out the factory grill and put the fiberglass/mdf speaker pod right threw the hole. it fit good enough not to even have to bolt or screw it to anything, but i might go back and do it later
