Dang on Door locks acting up.....

I read in the faqs about the locks going bad and something about opening a compartment under the steering wheel and and resoldering some parts. This morning it took me 5 minutes to get in the car. Everytime I turned the key the door would unlock and lock right back, its like it couldn't fully open. I played and played with it until it opened. Then on my way to work I accidently locked the doors while driving and I couldn't unlock them I thought I was going to have to climb out of the window. But eventually it worked so now I'm leaving my doors unlocked while at work. Any suggestions.... Seems like they should have some type of bypass so the power locks don't work and you can just manually lock and unlock the doors.

TIA,

Henri

it's most commonly the door lock timer that's acting up. if you pull the plate off under the steering column, it's the box in front just to the right of the column. there's two plugs in the bottom. you can pull those guys out and you'll then have "manual" locks. send the box to me and I'll repair it for you.. If you're good with a soldering iron, then pull it out and resolder all the connections on the board. If not, pull it out and send me money.
