which gives a better performance boost?

cold air intake, or the unorthodox lightened underdrive crankshaft pully?

Personally, I mounted an electric fan on my trunk. Added some nice thrust.

pully free up hp.. but unorthodox stop making it i think last i heard. if you have a vg engine 89-91 se 89-94 gxe get it from either stillen if they have any left.. or if you have a ve engine 92-94 se get it from www.rpmoutlet.com

how is a the CAI? good? or just ok?

CAI is a basic upgrade to add some more power to your car, definitely get that. But you should also think about getting the UDP, I have one and you will rev much faster.

To get the most out of a CAI you really need to get the other side of the engine to breath better too. So you need to open up the exhaust as well..... Without doing any exhaust work you might get 5hp or so from just a CAI. Open up the exhaust and you'll probably see another 2-3 hp from the CAI plus whatever your exhaust works gives you.

You might get 6-8 hp from a pulley. If you don't live in the south you probably won't notice the loss of AC in the summer.

Man, I love how u guys cry about money for parts. Look at me, parts for my car r hellishly expensive. I called about my corner lights for davebond & Nissan down here wanted NZ $300 for each side!! Thats about US $150! I know sum of u r college students, but look at what I go through to get my car done. I have spent thousands on my car & still have much to do! So, u guys should be very greatful u dont live here
