Muffler Inlet size

What is the size of the inlet for the stock muffler? I tried searching but the vbulletin crap kept on showing up so don't flame.

Most parts stores carry muffler adapters. to change between pipe sizes such as going from a 2.25" ID pipe to a 2.5" OD pipe

if you're going to have it installed by a muffler shop, they will know what to do. they should have all the stuff including those adapters
