Exhaust system cost

The exhaust pipes/and muffler on my 92 SE are rusting out. I guess 12 years is a good run for the system, but I can't believe what Midas wants to replace them. What is a reasonable price for a new system including the Cat Converter?

Well it depens on where you go, Midas is going to charge you an arm and a leg. Your best best would be to buy your exhaust needs from www.warpspeedperformance.com They sell y-pipes , cat converters and cat-back exhaust systems. Give them a call and their quality will be way more superior compared to midas. You can do a search on warpspeed since there are so many threads about their products.

the 600 was from warpspeed and included everything from the y-pipe back, very good deal.

I would get a WSP y-pipe and hi-flow cat, then get that deal from internetautomart for the cat-back.

Do yourself a BIG favor and get a y-pipe regardless of what else you do. I replaced mine (I got a cattman, though) and even with everything else stock, there was a noticeable difference.

Hey Internetautomart, what type of exhaust is that? Pipe size and type of material, bend type, etc. I am just curious. That's a hell of a deal.

I agree the y-pipe was the biggest improvement for me too the cat back added a little more in the top end but mostly just good deep noise.

Oh, I thought that was the bargain you could GET us...not the stuff you slapped on your own car.

Then, I recommend ordering the full Warpspeed set up just because there is no welding required and it should mount right up with your existing stuff. I think there are other guys with more experience mixing and matching exhaust parts if you are looking to go cheaper.
