FSTB off ebay

I bought a FSTB off ebay and it won't fit! I have a 91 GXE and I think it is for the VE maybe. It is about 5/8 inch too long. Is this the wrong one?

Yeah, it ended up fitting. I just unscrewed the bolt on each side and screwed it back together. Thanks anyway!

You better get one, man. Or your engine is going to fly out through the hood. Plus, you're losing at least 7bhp at the rear wheels.

Yeah, I can get you one, but might want to make sure it clears your brake booster/etc. I think it that it would, but might want to ask someone for specs. just to make sure. I'd give you some measurements if I had one

are we saying that the mounting plates that sit on the strut towers the bolt holes wont line up? i had to have mine cut with a uni-bit to widen the diameter of the bolt holes on the end plates should take of the mounting prob. However if the length of the bar is to far apart then nothing u can do !!

To let u know bro, I already looked for the manufacturer. It was a company up in Auckland, New Zealand but they don't make them anymore. So, I will have to find a company to make a mold of it & make it from scratch

You can try to put the one from your 3rd gen and the one from your 4th gen on mine. I do know that the 5th gen FSTB fits on the VE cuz i got one.

Except for third gens with the VE engine......

The intake gets in the way. I suppose if you get rid of all that pesky intake plumbing ANY FSTB will fit.

I have the one for the 5th gen, and it fits great! it sits against one of the a/c hoses, but it hasn't damaged it.

I've said this before, but if you have any 92-94 Maxima, even the GXE (VG), I'd suggest a 5th Gen FSTB with the short, non-protruding brackets because the A/C hose gets right in the way of most 4th Gen, and now a few 5th Gen FSTB brackets.

See Lordrandall's homepage for the right type of 5th Gen bracket.
