Fuel Pressure Regulator
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Hey Guys,
I am putting a Zex Nitrous system in really soon (55-75 shot) and I'm replacing the spark plugs, fuel pump and fuel regulator. I got my one range colder spark plugs from NAPA and I bought the popular Walbro fuel pump...but I'm stuck on which adjustable fuel pressure regulator I need to buy. It's gotta be between 35 and 50 pounds and be and in-line setup. What did you guys do for your nitrous setups???

Do you really need an adjustable regulator for just 35 maybe 50lbs? I havent really looked into it, but I think you could probably get away with the stock one for now. Again though, its been awhile since I've looked into nitrous so look for the opinions from the more experienced guys.
I went to NAPA today, they were selling ones around 43 PSI which were stock Nissan ones...they cost from $70-$100. I'm not paying that much for some stock part that I already have. I don't know if I should just use the stock one or opt it out for a different one...any input guys???
the stock system is 39psi at idle and 43 and WOT.
the best thing to do is get the JWT ECU with the NOS daughterboard in it so that it will correct for the NOS already...
the other way to do it is to go to a race shop and talk to the guys there about what they offer, when they can help with, and what you can get for a decent price. $100 is goign to be cheap for an adjustable regulator, so just be warned.

Yeah man, I posted this in the nitrous forum too...I actually haven't gotten one reply yet from there, lol...It's going to be a Wet Zex Nitrous system. I'll be going to the local race shop tomorrow probably to fill up the bottle so I'll ask them what they think I should do...I don't really wanna go for the ECU upgrade yet...just spent over 500 for the Nitrous and random stuff and another 475 for the WarpSpeed SS Y-pipe and metallic cat...we'll see...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING GUYS!!!

Hey guys, me again...I'm really freakin out about this fuel pressure regulator. Till I get some answers I'm gonna wonder what the heck I'm supposed to do, lol. So anyway, do I really need a new fuel pressure regulator? Or will the stock regulator work with the new Walbro Fuel Pump? Let me know what you guys think!!!
