Hood struts

Just acquired a '94 GXE and on my list of things to fix is the hood struts, which will now not support the weight of the hood. Since I'd prefer to view or fix the engine while the hood is NOT on my head, I would like to know if i need to buy new struts or if the old ones can be repressurized...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, if I need new struts, what's the cheapest out there??? I'm looking at these...http://catalog.auto-parts-wholesale....1994&x=79&y=10

I'm surprised no one's mentioned me yet.
You do need new hood struts. $50 a pair shipped to your door

2 hood struts with attaching hardware.
I've sold 3 sets to other org members so far
No complaints

The metal bracket itself is transfer over (very easy to do)
Because otherwise they'd have to go sided
these install fairly easily IMHO, Just follow the included directions.

I got mine from the local advance auto parts a while back with the brackets already on for like $50 or so...probably a little more plus tax.

I say support our fellow orgers here though and get them from Internetautomar. I only mention the one with brackets for those that dont have a drill to get the bracket off of the old struts.

I'll be contacting you about some new struts shortly too...
Do we need a write-up on replacing them? I'd be willing to take some pics as I went along when I installed them...
