Does anybody have problems with thier LSD
I was just wondering if anyone has problems with their 92-94 SE Limited slips? We got about 4 inches of snow last night and on my way into work it didn't feel like my LSD was engaging. I may have just hit a ice patch going up a hill but it has always slipped then climbed once the wheels locked. Maybe it was just too cold? Who knows, Any suggestions?

Unfortunately mine is an auto and my tranny has been slipping at WOT above 3500 for a few weeks now
Has new axles/boots, tranny fluid good. Maybe this could have something to do with the problem. MT swap would be a nice summer project if I can make it that long.

I have been babying it the last few weeks just for that reason.

I actually read something last week that ALL 92-94 SE's Auto and Manuals have a VLSD. I wish I could remember what link it was but I can't. It goes to show you once again how Nissan now cuts corners on cost and that we 3rd genners with VE's got the best deals.

That is how it is supposed to work when both wheels are off the ground. The differential is open until one wheel spins faster than the other one. If you only took one wheel off the ground and tried to move the car you would find out real quick if you have a VLSD. If the car just stays there and the wheel in the air spins then you don't have one if it all of the sudden lurches foward and drives off then you do. And chances are if you have a VE you do have a VLSD. They only have 2 transmissions listed for the VE and both have the V in the code, one is manual the other is auto. Now the GXE and other VG's don't have it.

my burnout last night told me my LSD is working, poor pooor engine (I got the gauge to say ~6850rpm )
(I just wish it was as tight at the Durango's, put the steering wheel around 80% to lock and turn and the tires start chirping )
