Alarm Question

Hey all needed to know if any 3 rd geners out there have installed a aftermarket alarm in their max? I have a good idea but needed a second opinion about install a rear trunk switch so i will have 5 zones instead the tradition of 4 zones(all doors) I wanted to splice into one of the door pins and run that wire to the trunks light so. If the trunk is opened and the alarm is on the alarm will go off!! Let me know all!!!

Personally I'd wire it into the hood pin.

i have no idea what you are talking about but with a standard alarm setup I can turn on/off trunk switch (in case if you want to be able to open a trunk from a remote with alarm already on)

In my max there is a remote trunk latch defeat.
Just found it today.

Now I got no trunk

if i open my trunk with the alarm then the factory alarm goes off.

sorry maybe i wasnt very clear, I am talking about a aftermarket alarm, not the OEM alarm that comes with the car. What i am asking is the same concept as our factory alarm and the hood pin switch. Say if u turn on the factory alarm and the hood is forced open or one of the car doors is open then the lights flash and the horn honks. But I just want to add a trunk switch on my viper alarm.

Gjohnson, the bulb might be burned out. It's a clear plastic circular piece just in the ceiling of the trunk.

or you could just wire it to the wire that tells the tunk is open on the OEm alarm
