Transmission Problems

I drive a 1994 GXE auto. The transmission is new with only app. 7,000 mi on it. The belt has also just been replaced. However the car cannot be driven in overdrive for it just revs up to 6500 rpm without accelerating or gaining any speed. Even without the overdrive 1st gear will rev up to redline, 2nd will only last half a second and i have to use the car in third and fourth gear which screws up my acceleration and my fuel economy. The level of the transmission fluid seems to be fine but I think i will replace it anyway. Does anyone have a link with how to drain the reservoir so i can just completely replace the fluid. Thanks for your help guys.

Obviously, a 7,000 mile transmission should not be slipping like yours is. I doubt that the fluid change will help much, if at all, based on what you say it is doing. Why don't you go back to where you got it and have them fix it?

The transmission is not under warranty anymore and the bastards will not fix it unless i give them $750. I don't want to pay a stupid amount of money to fix it and i eventually plan to do the 5sp conversion. I just want it to run the way it used to . The overdrive was pressed when the car revs up like a maniac. I am now forced to drive with the o/d off. Please Help Me!!!!!
