VG auto tranny lag

VG auto tranny lag
Now, no jokes about the lag being a result of the fact that I drive an auto in the first place...
But seriously, I've noticed some weird activity with my transmission.
When coasting at highway speeds (especially downhill), with the accelerator completely released, my RPMS slowly pan up and down repeatidly in about 250 RPM range. Kinda like it's hesitating and then releasing, etc...
Never had tranny problems before, etc... only about 75k. I know I'm due for a fluid, pan and filter sevice, but I didn't think the fluid could cause this issue.
Thanks.

check the linkage, also check the throtle cables too. 250 is kinda low in any gear so its possible that your tranny has gone out somehow, get a tranny shop to pull it and inspect it. i know 75k is early for the tranny to go, but id check it make sure, my tranny has 130k on it and the only problem i have is the hesitation. also check the other essentials, MAF, plugs, cap/rotor,,,, stuff like that.

No...he doesn't mean AT 250rpm, he means..it fluctuates about 250rpms. My car will do that too. Its not the tranny...so don't worry abut that. Its basically the ecu giving the car gas, then taking it away. Not sure why id does that.
OR it could be the torque converter locking and unlocking repeatedly, but the rpms move up and down too fast so something tells me its not that.
Anyone got any imput on that?

mince does it too .. i think only in O/D
if the hesitaion is Very noticeable then it might not be the tranny, buy a muti meater and learn how to use it and test the MAF.. when sensors get lazy our cars tend to run on the rich side.. there for, hesitation,
if it feels like the hesistion is in the cars down shiffting then its probly. ur ATF sensor, but when that sensor starts to die u cant drive the car out of 3rd on a cold start.
VG auto trannies have no servicable tranny filter so if u dont do ATF flush yourself be sure not to get charged for that
