amplifier to run front,rears,and sub?
Can someone recommend a decent amplifer that can accomplish running the front Infinity 60.5cs, rear Infinity 693.5i, and a JL 10" sub. I currenly have the sub running off an old Profile 600w 2ch amp, but would like to put some power to the front and rears as well, instead of deck power. Otherwise any other suggestions on the best way to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated. I do not have the Infinity's installed yet, just trying to get all the pieces together before install. Oh yeah, If money was no object this would not be hard to accomplish, but trying to do this on a budget as well. ANY IDEAS???

you're going to come up short on having enough power to drive the sub effectively without putting it in a ported/bandpass box..most 5 ch. amps dont put out quite enough power to drive higher handling subs..at least ones that are pretty affordable..
You might think about a multi-amp install..use a 4 ch. for your front and rear speakers and either a mono amp or the amp you have now for the sub..

Golden Ice is right.
I would probably just get two amps. Getting a good amp to run all of that will cost a lot more than getting a four channel for the front/rear and a mono for the sub.
There are lots of reasonably priced four channel and monoblock subs out there, you just have to do a little research and shop around.
You might want to check the audio for sale forums and see if anyone has a deal you might be able to swing.

I like my Legacy Series 2 1200w 4 chan. I bought off of e-bay..brand new for $89 +$20 shipping..no warranty, but for the new price you pay for amps with 1-2 year warranty from a dealer, you can buy this amp 2x over..I know Legacy isn't the best by any means, but its decent....I suppose 1200 is probably a bit much for your application, but you could turn the power way down..
The auction has ended, but they'll probably relist until all of them are gone..
Heres a link to it:

You might also look for somthing like a kenwood 500-800w 4 chan..I would lean away from pioneer amps right now, unless you have the list of the ones that were recalled..

I personally like Phoenix Gold. They have a newer entry level line, Octane-R.
I think you can get an Octane-R 5.0:4 for under $200.
Really, though, you should go to some car audio places and test out amps and speakers and get an idea of what you prefer.

Well, as we can tell, everyone will have different recommendations for you based on their experiences. I could rave about the Alpine 5ch amp I had in my trunk, or could even recommend the RF I've got in there now.
But the only way you're gonna get a good idea of what's right for YOUR application is to do what Chris said and go to some local stereo shops and 'test drive' a few components. That way, you'll have at least SOME idea of what direction you want to go in.
Otherwise, we'll be here all day saying, "go with Alpine/Zapco/PPI/Profile/Jensen/JL, because it's so dope/cool/powerful/nice-looking/inexpensive."
Food for thought.... do the dishes!
