Lowering Springs

I was wondering if anyone had any feed back or experience with Springtech lowering springs. I've found some for a really good price for an 89-94 Max and wa wondering if they are any good, or if it would be more beneficial to save the money for Eibachs. They Springtechs are supposelly a 2 inch drop. Thanks for any info.

I think spipedong has some on his car and so far he seems to like them. You should ask him, though.

I'm not sure which retailer sells these springs, I saw them on ebay for $60 plus $25 for shipping.

I just saw this thread...

I'm sure since you searched that you noticed my original thread when I first got them on.

These pictures show it after a couple months of settling, and with my new 17's:

I bought mine from suspensionmax on ebay. They were 100 and something, plus I got new struts from them also. They combined shipping which was nice. Total cost for springs and struts was $343.

Do you think the drop was a complete 2 inches, or more like the 1.5 inches like the eibachs?

It's pretty substantial. They said 1.8", and it was pretty close if not exactly 1.8". I would have liked 1.5" better I think, because with 235/45/17 tires I rub on things and have to watch speed bumps and potholes.

I have a 1.8+ drop on Speedline springs, and it's no fun, believe me.

It's not even practical to put on a body kit at this point...

I can't wait to buy intrax and restore my ride.

But yes, Springtech will slam your ride, however I can't vouch for the quality. IMHO, the Max just needs more clearance and spring height for damper - but if you're making a low rider, that's another story...

bah... mine's lowered almost three inches and I don't have a problem bottoming out- even with my lower tie bar and SFCs on it. you just have to be careful when you drive over large bumps and you're fine.

3 inches. No wonder you don't have a body kit Matt. Let me guess, custom????

Hey post another pic of how your car sits with that drop.

true, I hear you Matt, I never bottom out per se, but I definitely feel every bump- and I just regret installing this brand of springs.
