My car let me down today...I was SOOOO disappointed in it, I wanted to smack it upside its head!!! This morning I pulled into the Hardee's drivethru right behind..what had to be a 00-01 Max SE. Gotta say..that's one ugly car. :-) (no offense so anyone who has one..but my opinion). So here my little grey 93 SE pulled up behind the big, bad 00-01 one. I thought "well, lookee here, and I think mine is much prettier". The mile to Hardee's purring like a baby, then as soon as he pulled away from the speaker, I pull up. I thought "keep it up baby", but hfn, "knock-knock-knock" comes the engine. :-(( I was so embarrassed. Of course, it's embarrassing enough but to be behind a new one...sheesh...so here I pull on around..up behind him..sounding like a beverly hillbilly. I thought "of ALL the times I want you to make the normal nice purr that you do, you had to act like a child and show your bad points!!!"..anyway...he pulled off..I pulled up, got my order, and pulled away. The second I pull onto the road..it stops. :-(((((((

I agree

You would have to supply more info as to what led to making the car stop.

But I would have to agree with you: 1989-1994 Maximas are styled way better than any of the 1995-01 Maximas.

3rd Generation RULEZ!

Re: I agree

My Question is why did the desighners feel the need to make the 00 and 01's *** loock like the rear of a NEON. I do like the front and side view but the rear end is ugly.

Out of the 95-01, the only exceptions are the 97-99 SE's and the 20th AE SE, I personally think those look perfect, otherwise they are all ugly, not to mention the 2K plus auto's are absolute dogs in terms of performance and like my 94 could be faster.

Dude, You are so Right!

And then I can't believe some people who are itching to sell their 3rd Generation so that they could buy a 95+ model. Like ....WHY?

I plan to stick with my 91 SE all the way, until death do us part. (I know it might sound CORNY but its the way I feel)

:-) I meant the noise, sorry. Car took off like a dream pulling out on the road, but of course the other car was gone. I was just so pissed because it made the noise when I was right behind the newer one and of course, his window was down because he was dealing with the drive thru window.

As for the newer ones, its the back end, and the ones with the very odd grill that I dislike so much.

I am one of those people ... I think the 4th gen is roomier, nicer interior styling, more comfortable, better performing, newer.
I like bigger cars, 4h gen is lighter and faster, My VE has been a pain in the *** so far, I already rebuilt the tranny, replaced a bunch of stuff..
I think the 4th gen is a better car. it doesn't look bad either.
