I'm about to do this conversion and was wondering what its gonna look like. If you've done this please tell me how you like it compared to stock.

Yea, the beam pattern is a lot better than stock, but I do need to go with higher output bulbs.

I have the BMW's and the beam pattern is much better. I also put some Xenon bulbs in and I get alot more distance from my headlights.

I'm thinking of slapping some on my 93 max. But, I was thinking it doesn't fit yoo well. Like it is straight in the front while the stock headlights curve. I saw this on a black max with the projector e36 lights but I'm not sure about the OEM bmw e36 lights.

You can cut off the orignal e36 covers and replace them with some GTS covers to give it a round/stock look. I just haven't done it yet.

Even with standard bulbs, I thought lights dispersion was greatly improved. However, I believe one of the best ways to get even better visibility is to upgrade to a better driving light. I felt that I gained the most significant increase in illumination of street and its edges by replacing the stock driving lights. You can see my setup on my cardomain page.

Hey thats me LOL. yeah its the way to go if you want it to look as close to factory as you can. A few other members on here have done this too.

Dont think anyone has done it with the projector e36s though...I may be wrong.

going from stock maxima 9004 to BMW projectors with xenon is literally night and day. the stock headlights were alright, ridden with hotspots and wierd stray light, the projectors are focused, even and all around excellent, with the xenon it makes it 10 times better.
from now on i will never own headlights that are not euro spec...i've never seen DOT headlights that're this good..and i havent been high-beamed yet and my right projector is aimed a bit high.
