*****Gauge Pod Pillar Update*****

Just got off the phone with Dennis and he said he just got the pods back and they will start to ship them out next week. There are a few people who ordered tan painted pillars and they need a 4x4 piece of the color in order to match it up with there paint machine, so if you are opne of these people do you really want it panted and have a delay in the shipping or would you mind if I told them to ship it unpainted? let me know. Thank you guys so much for your patience and will someone post up some pics when they get them!! You guys made it some much easier on me being so understanding with all this and when you guys get the pillars and you are satisfied with it (don't see why you wouldnt be) please post some positive feedback for me and if you did the ebay thiing please leave me feedback on there as well. Thank you guys again!!
Kevin

I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO BE CLEAR ON THIS THAT THE SATIN BLACK IS JUST WHAT THE COLOR STATES AND IS SATIN BLACK. IF YOU HAVE THE GREY INTERIOR I'M AM NOT SURE HOW THAT WILL MATCH UP, SO IF YOU REALLY WANT THE GREY COLOR SOMEONE HAS TO SEND IN A COLOR SAMPLE (4X4 INCH PIECE OF THE COLOR) TO LOTEK SO THEY CAN MATCH IT WITH THERE PAINT MACHINE ASAP!

For those wanting tan, I've got a parts car with the color. I'm going to pull a trim piece to see if that will do for color matching.

Stay tuned.

Ya know, Kev...

I've been waiting THIS long, I won't mind waiting a bit longer for them to paint mine. I've just got 2 questions:
  1. Do I need to take a picture/cut a swatch for them to get a piece of the color of my interior? It's whatever the standard grey is for our cars...
  2. Since this invariably will delay the shipping, will I get it BEFORE my birthday in March??

Otherwise, good lookin' out, bro!

only tan needs to wait, gray is OK I think, guys its really not that hard to paint them, and match the paint.

I am sure you will get it way before march it might be only a week or it might be a few weeks not really sure. They need a 4x4 inch color sample of the tan, so if someone wants to go ahead and send them a piece of the color it would help things move a lot quicker. there address is

Lo-Tek Inc.
715 - C2 East Geer Street
Durham, NC 27701

make sure you state that its for the 89-984 nissan maxima gauge pod pillar deal.

Nupe if wanna go ahead and send them a sample of that also that would be cool.

I was just thinking about what Jay said, and it really ISN'T that hard to color match that kinda stuff. Besides, I might go ahead and re-cover it in grey anyway. So, I'll opt to get what I get.

Thanks again, Kev!

Looks that way... I mean, more power to ME if it comes already grey. But if it comes satin black, that's ok too...

Right on! Thanks for handling everything Kevin, I know it has been a hassle for you and your work is very much appreciated.

Now I just have to find some guages to put in it and some fuzzy beige to put on it.

I have an Air-fuel gauge but it is crappy. My friend had it on his Integra. Also I have some money for one other gauge but I really don't know what three to get. Any help is good. I am looking for digital gauges or just buying some and swaping the LEDs. I am just test fitting.

Guys I was more than happy in doing this. It was stressful at times but we finally did it! I have taken so much knowledge from this site I figured it was time for me to contribute back. I hope you guys like them and enjoy them and please let me see some pics of these things. Be honest to about liking them or not and dont be nice, you wont hurt my feelings. I mean I have researched the company and thought they made very good quality products so let me know how the qaulity is. I dont think shipping is arranged in any order so be patient and they will get to you before next week is over.

3rd gens rule

Also when someone gets gaues in them and has a very nice looking pic please send it to me so that I can send it to Lotek and they can put the picture on their site

I got mine today, and I havent screwed it in yet but the location of the top screw is right on the track for the seat belt, I would have prefered no holes at all but oh well, other than that it fits fine. just have to get one more gauge.
