Headlight covers

so, I had just gotten everything I need for the BMW conversion when my dad pointed out that the GTS headlight covers don't have those pointy things on them that the stock lenses have. Aren't those supposed to be for focussing the lights? Has this been a problem for anyone?

dont worry about it. All of the focusing happens within the housing. Its what the reflector is for.
Same thing with the bimmers.

I believe those little pointy things are just from the production stages.

actually (if i recall right) those "pointy thingys" are used to properly align / auto-align the headlights using a tool/machine of some sort...I think i remember reading that somewhere.

yeah the pointy thing are use for head light alignment. there is a tool that has a breech that sits onthe pointy things and the rest of the tool is held on by sucktion. the tool it self has levels bilt in as to make the alignment easier.
